The Cold and Stony Heart

When the heart grows cold, God stands in the shadow of the frozen desert; many times with an ice-pick and this can be painful as He gouges away at the armoured and jagged ice surrounding the cold core. But mercy and grace is His sole objective and as He picks away, He then melts the ice in order to soften the heart and then warm it up again with His warm and life-giving Breath and Word as He works relentlessly with fire in His eyes, trying to get to the “Meaning of all things”.

As Ezekiel 36:25-27 says; He (God) will give you a …New Heart and Spirit…
…25″Then I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you will be clean; I will cleanse you from all your filthiness and from all your idols. 26″Moreover, I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; and I will remove the heart of stone from your flesh and give you a heart of flesh. 27″I will put My Spirit within you and cause you to walk in My statutes, and you will be careful to observe My ordinances.…

The Heart of man is the one place where the temperature can drop within seconds if it is not kept in the secret place of God – that secret place prepared for all of His children where there is eternal warmth!

There is a secret place, prepared for me; a place where I find my rest. I take refuge Lord, in You, my God, peace, be still, peace be still, peace be still. And I tuck my head into your breast, and I find everlasting warmth and comfort in You, my God!
