The Rapture – Part 2

Follow with me in this series entitled: The Rapture, to see if indeed the common evangelical teaching; that Christ will secretly rapture His Church, is a true or false teaching. Is Christ coming again with a Secret Rapture, and if He is then what type of Bride is Christ coming back for?

The famous “Go-to” text  for the secret rapture believers and teachers is 1 Thessalonians 4:15-17 and probably Revelation 7 and 20. Nevertheless, if one allows Scripture to speak for Scripture (Sola-Scriptura) then you will quickly find out that there is nothing in all of Scripture that supports the Secret Rapture. In fact, if anything, Scripture supports the idea that when Jesus Christ does come again, He is coming audibly and visibly; not making a silent U-turn with His people, but rather will be coming with the announcement of His Arch Angels as 1 Thessalonians 4:15-17 indeed speaks of. However, when He does return, He will be coming to pass judgement on the reprobate and the unregenerate.  “Is His Bride genuinely ready” would be the more pertinent question for the Christian believer to be asking? “Let us rejoice and celebrate and give Him the glory. For the marriage of the Lamb has come, and His bride has made herself ready.” (Revelation 19:7)
